Folded In Desperation

I fall to my knees
Allowing the blood and pebbles
To mix with my flesh, I perched there
Afraid to surrender any further
Clasping my hands, chipped nail polish
Folded in desperation, my tears warm me
Crushed by the weight of my woes
History and bones built up over time
I beg for a touch, a caress, even a slap
From the divine, I am lifted
Raised up a bit higher, my breath
Catches on the wind and whispers
Everything is going to be alright
